We are a coalition of young people who defend the cause of a free and open society.
Authoritarianism is on the rise.
Young people’s futures are being contested in real time.
Across the world—and especially online—authoritarian ideologies are targeting the next generation with identity-based narratives designed to convert anxiety into obedience. From nationalist strongmen to theocrats and centralized state control, illiberal movements exploit fear, grievance, and misinformation to weaken liberal norms and pull young people away from pluralism, free inquiry, and self-government.
If we want a free and open society to survive, it isn’t enough to simply be right—we need a strategy to reach young people where they are and bring them back to liberalism with a compelling identity, real community, and a path into meaningful action.
The solution is liberalism .
Liberalism is the only proven antidote to authoritarianism—but it doesn’t win by argument alone.
To protect young people’s futures, we have to rebuild liberalism as a living identity: something you can recognize, belong to, and act through. That means pairing timeless liberal principles with a modern strategy that reaches people where they are and guides them toward deeper engagement.
We make liberalism vivid
We produce high-impact video storytelling that makes liberal values feel real again—through historical moments, modern stakes, and voices young people actually recognize. The goal is cultural: restore the moral confidence of freedom, pluralism, and democratic self-rule. If authoritarianism recruits through narrative, liberalism has to compete on narrative too.
We build real belonging
Ideas stick when people have a place to belong. We’re building a community where young liberals can meet peers, discuss what they’re seeing in the world, and stay connected instead of drifting into online cynicism or illiberal pipelines. This turns passive viewers into participants in the beginnings of a new movement.
We create clear pathways
Belief deepens when it becomes practice. We connect young liberals to internships, jobs, partners, scholarships, and conferences so there’s a real next step after someone says, “I’m in.” The point is to transform interest into durable capacity and new leaders with real opportunities to contribute.
We scale what works
We iterate fast: test narratives, measure what resonates, refine, and distribute through partnerships and targeted amplification. Liberalism needs more than occasional viral moments; it needs a repeatable system for outreach and retention. We’re building that system.
Yes, I am a Liberal
The most powerful way to rebuild liberalism is to let people see themselves in it. Our testimonial series features young people explaining—plainly and personally—why they call themselves liberals, what they’re fighting for, and what a free and open society means to them.
